Adoption Success Stories
Charise, the Burmilla, has gone to live with Nikita who is one of our adult adoptees.
Charise is shy and selected to complement Nikita's more 'bossy' nature. This is their
story.

Hi Carole
Both the kids are ok and good friends. Nikita is still the “Queen” and is always looking out
for Charise. Charise is still a cat which likes to keep to herself and loves to curl up in a
place where she can watch the household life go by. Not much of a lap cat but loves a pat
and a brush. Charise has taken to my 11 year old girl and often we find them cuddled up
together. Charise has also learnt the word dinner and knows the sound of the can opening.
Steve came home the other day from work early and managed to get the photo. First time
we had seen what goes on where we are away from home.

Sonny has gone to live in Cairns. He is a shy boy and has taken 5 days to settle in, with
lots of love from Linda.

Hi Carole,
I thought you had to know this. I nursed Sonny for an hour tonight. He stayed on my lap
and the purring was deafening. He was gently moving his claws in and out. He would
climb up to my face and affectionately rub his face on mine, he did the same on my arms.
He would even do little turn overs on my lap and snuggle his face into my chest. It was a
beautiful moment and I have never had a cat be soooo affectionate. We just love him soo
much.
"Piper"
Hi Carole and Sandor
I am sorry I took so long to let you know how Piper has settled in.
She is a delight and acts as if she has lived with us forever. She
beguiles all of our visitors and the family has become her willing
slaves. With her comical and inquisitive nature she has us covering
our face so as she doesn’t see our laughter at her antics. ( we
wouldn’t want to offend her )  She has had no upset tummies and
enjoys a healthy eating pattern. She likes her new ‘private’
bathroom facilities (two tone pink with a roof )She has settled into a
sleeping pattern after 2 nights of roaming the house to wake us
each in turn to be told ‘no’ we didnt want to play She has an
appointment with the vet to be micro chipped so should the
unthinkable happen and she gets out we can hopefully be reunited
quickly
In short, we couldn’t imagine life without her!
Kind regards Susan

Pixie and Amy went to their new home together

Dear Carole and Sandor
Amy and Pixie are responding well to the modified diet (thanks for
the advice Carole!) and seem very contented. They are now very
much a part of our family. Pixie will now sit on Kate's lap for a
cuddle (as first choice) and mine when Kate is not about. Amy is
hard to get off the lap!!! They are darling little girls, very active and
seem to keep each other good company (although there have been a
few fights they are usually to be found cuddled up together on the
couch when we get home.) They talk to us and like to hang around
us.
Hope you have a great weekend,
regards
Meg (and Neal and Kate)
Sooty now lives with Denise and Roy and his
friend Sparky

Hi Carole
Attached are recent photos of Sooty and Sparky.  Hope you
enjoy them as much as we do.

Roy has built an outdoor run for them and we have a cat door
in the window so they have access at anytime.  They both love
it.
Cheers

Tiger & Oscar (AKA Cougar)  were adopted after
being returned by the family who bought them.
They were special boys and needed a special
home as they were very sad when they came back
to me . I was sure that  they missed their young
family so I was delighted when Alison and Mark
decided to adopt them.

Dear Carole,
Thought I would let you know how fantastic your
cats are!  We adopted Tiger and Oscar (Cougar)
about 18 months ago when they were a year old,
and thought you might like to know how they are
doing.  They are the most loving and placid of
cats, amazingly tolerant of our two children.
Mia loves to put Oscar in her dolls pram and take
him for walks, which he seems to enjoy, and Tiger
is such a smoochy cat at night, he likes to to sit
on you and cuddle.  I have attached a photo of
them on their favourite chair in their favourite
position, hugging each other (we did not set the
photo up!).
Thanks again!

Hi Carole,

Another update...

Satine has claimed upstairs as her own as
well as the top stair and the piece of couch
closest to me when I'm downstairs.  I had a
friend come round to meet her today and she
played happily with her for an hour. Satine is
an absolute delight, you were right, she loves
eating from my plate, she also love nibbling
on my watch and licking my fingers first thing
in the morning. She gets stroppy when I leave
for work in the morning and sulks for a little
while when I come home...until I brush her for
15-20 minutes and then all is forgiven.

I'm definitely keeping her name. I can't
imagine her as anything else now.
